Ordinance No. 1246 will go into effect on Thursday, June 23, 2016. The Ordinance bans the use of hand held cell phones while operating a motor vehicle or riding a bicycle within the corporate limits of the Town of Silver City. TThe Town will be using time to inform and educate the public from present through July 23, 2016. The Town will be issuing warnings, and may issue citations when extenuating circumstances require them through this period. Effective July 24, 2016, full enforcement of the Ordinance will commence.
