USFS News Release: North Fire, 6.21.16.

Below is the US Forest Service's news release about the North Fire in the Cibola National Forest and National Grasslands for today, Tuesday, June 21, 2016.

Magdalena, NM; June 21, 2016 - The North fire on the Magdalena Ranger District increased in size yesterday and is now 36,246 acres; at 30% containment. The lightning-caused fire started on May 21 and is located in the San Mateo Mountains, 25 miles southwest of Magdalena, NM. It continues to be actively managed for multiple resource benefits.
