The City of Bayard held its regular meeting on Monday, July 11, 2016 at 2:04 p.m.

The Council approved a number of items at the meeting. Among the items approved were the agenda for the meeting; the appointment of fire chief, Freddie Gonzales; the appointment of fire department officers; the hiring of Mike Sayer as maintenance mechanic at an hourly rate of $15 per hour and upon successful completion of all pre-employment exams; the increase in wages of $0.25 per hour for Marlena Valenzuela and Samantha Fletcher for acquiring Motor Vehicle Division (MVD) Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) Certification, which will be effective on the date that the MVD Bayard Office resumes business.
