The New Mexico Champion 4-H Hunting Team has returned from Nationals held in Grand Island, NE and once again represented New Mexico and Grant County very well. The seventeen-hour drive to Nebraska offered new and different scenery as well as different weather to adapt to. The young men representing Grant County were not distracted by the drive, weather or the other contestants from around the United States. Several state winning teams competed in the National competition. Our young men held their own in the highly competitive hunting contest placing 10th overall in the nation. Riley Brabson was the leader of the pack as the individual on the team with the highest scores. Ty Dalton, Jordan Gonzales and Trent Kasten were not far behind and also did very well in the competition. We are so thankful to all the sponsors and donors that made this trip possible. The outpouring of support from the community was tremendous.
