Silver City, NM; July 17, 2016

The Nozie Incident Management Team will be transferring incident management back to the Silver City Ranger District with command being taken by J. Searles at 6:00 a.m. today. The number of resources on the Black Fire will decrease as the suppression efforts over the last week have been highly successful and needs have diminished. The Silver City Hotshots, Silver City Fire crews, and the Chevlon 20 person initial attack crew from the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest will remain engaged in the fire but may be utilized for area initial attack should the need arise.

The number of fire information boards will be reduced down to two boards: one at the Gila National Forest SupervisorsG
