The Action Committee along with the Neighborhood Watch had a pancake breakfast at the fire station so the residents could meet the new Fire Chief Joeadam Gallegos. There was a good turn out for the event. Music in the Park was announced to start on June 10, 2016 from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The next Action Committee meeting was held on June 15, 2016 at 4 p.m.

Under new business, the council made a motion to table the contract with Dave Chandler for $5,000 for fiscal year 2016-2017 for grant writing assistance.

The council also tabled permission to advertise a notice of intent to adopt an amendment to the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Santa Clara setting criteria for mobile/manufactured homes within the corporate limits of the Village of Santa Clara, including, but not limited to the age of said mobile/manufactured homes.

Under public comments, Caddel came before the council with items he had requested to be put on the agenda. Public discussion was made on the items, also a lengthy public discussion began about the vacant building ordinance. Many people were talking at the same time making it hard to understand what exactly was being said and by whom.

The minutes for the meeting were passed, approved and adopted on July 20, 2016.
