Photographer Dave Schuhmann said he went out to Fort Bayard today (Friday) to see what it looks like and it's very peaceful. Nobody working. Only two items of equipment still there. Gazebo still untouched.
Additional rails welded to the sidewalk railing to keep people from falling in. They were watering the lawns at Officer's Row and one sprinkler was broken, wasting water, with nobody around to fix it.
