People from as far away as New York and Virginia were in Silver City this weekend during the Gila River Fiesta 2016. At the Gila Bikeworks, youngsters created butterfly wings and other costumes and then lined up for the Monsoon Puppet Theater Parade down Bullard to Broadway and then to Yankie and Texas Streets where the Extravaganza took place. Music, food vendors, dancing and other fun events took place during the afternoon and evening.
