Cobre school board met at the district office on September 26, 2016. The closed session began at 6:02, where they discussed student identifiable information and limited personnel issues. All five directors were present: Frank Gomez, Robert Montoya, Frances Kelly, Frank Cordova and Toy Sepulveda, president of the board, who reported that no action was taken during closed session.

Unfinished business consisted of the 2016-2017 Budget returning unchanged from the State, ready for their review. He added that they would continue to give the board the encumbrance figures at the end of each month, as had been done in the past, so they could easily see the remaining balances. Information requests would be welcomed.
