Mayor Ken Ladner stated that the remarks about increased property taxes are each councilor's view. He said the council as a whole has not taken a position on the issue.

Cano was also concerned about the large number of golfers that have mentioned to her that they are upset with how the golf course is being maintained. She said the complaints included sand traps that are like concrete, 8-inch tall rough, and greens that have been cut too short. GǣWe need to make sure that the golf course remains something that people want to use. Right now, our golfers are heading to Deming a lot.Gǥ

Town Manager Alex Brown stated that if golfers have complaints they should voice them to him. He has received zero up to now. Brown said not to base the future of the golf course on what is there now. ThereG
