It has been more than five years since PNM increased the base price customers pay for their electricity.

Since then, PNM has invested more than $650 million in the electric system and facilities to protect the environment and help meet future emission regulations.

No one likes higher energy cost, but these higher rates simply recover the money PNM has already invested to keep your energy reliable, safe, while meeting environmental regulations.

 


The difference between North and South is due to the gradual integration of Southern customers into the overall PNM service territory after the company purchased TNMP, which had been serving customers in the South.
