(SILVER CITY, GRANT COUNTY,NM)---

Grant County Sheriff's Department investigators were able to gather information that Michael Lester Sproul (48 YOA/ Silver City) was still in the area of Grant County. With that information investigators, along with US Marshals, were able to pin point some locations within Silver City where Sproul had been seen. Law Enforcement Officials set up surveillance in those areas.

On October 20, 2016, just before 11:00 a.m., Investigators with the Grant County Sheriff's Department were conducting surveillance in the area of the Albertson's Shopping Center located at 1956 Highway 180 East in Silver City. At that time, they were able to locate Sproul. Sproul was arrested without incident and transported to the Grant County Detention Center. Sproul was arrested for a probation violation warrant issued by Judge JC Robinson, which has no bond. Sproul was on probation for Aggravated Burglary with a Deadly Weapon, Embezzlement of a Vehicle, Forgery and Resisting Evading an Officer.
