Sunday, Oct. 23, at about 3 a.m., Silver City Police Department officers were in the area of Highway 180 and Walmart when, according to police documents, they heard a business alarm sounding. After searching for a few minutes officers determined the alarm was coming from the Rough Country store. Upon further examination, officers found not only the front glass door of Rough Country was heavily damaged but also the front door of the adjacent business, Twisted Illusions.

From the incident report, it appears a brick was thrown through the front door of Rough Country, as a brick was lying on the floor inside the building near the front door. The damage to the other business' door was reported as being caused by a rock. Blood was noted on the broken glass of both doors.
