Cobre school board met on Monday, October 24, 2016, with a bare quorum of Frances Kelly, Frank Cordova and Toy Sepulveda, president of the board. The closed session began at 6:06 p.m. where student identifiable information and limited personnel topics were discussed, but no decisions were made, according to Sepulveda. The public session began at 7:12.

Superintendent Robert Mendoza gave the first reading of a payroll policy change, which would affect staff in the event a payroll date coincided with a day when banks were closed due to a federal holiday.
