According to Grant County Clerk Robert Zamarripa, 8,220 voters voted early in Grant County. Early voting ended on Saturday, Nov. 5.

"That's a 39.05 percent of registered voters who have already turned out," Zamarripa said. "I think we might have more than the 2012 election, which had almost double that many."

His office was a busy one today as everyone, including extra helpers, prepared to be one of the county convenience centers for voting on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2016.

The convenience centers will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at all locations.

Other convenience centers can be found in this article: http://www.grantcountybeat.com/news/news-articles/32812-voter-convenience-center-list-for-election-day-2016

Zamarripa said results will be available for Grant County on the Secretary of State website at http://sos.state.nm.us/ and radio station KNUW 95.1 will also announce results as they come in.

Democrats and Republicans will hold election night watch parties at their respective headquarters.

Also the Western New Mexico University J. Cloyd Miller Library and the WNMU Young Democrats Club are holding an election night watch party at Miller Library.
