On Sunday, Dec. 4 at 7:40 a.m., Silver City Police Officers were dispatched to 2148 E. Highway 180, the Family Dollar store near Albertsons, in reference to a robbery that had occurred.

The Grant County Regional Dispatch Authority advised that the caller said a male wearing all black and carrying a gun was running behind the Family Dollar toward Rosedale Road.

Officers made contact with the caller, a Family Dollar employee, who stated, according to police documents, he was exiting the store at 7:30 a.m. after running his reports, carrying a bank deposit bag containing $1,551.32.

As he was walking toward his car to take the receipts to the bank, he noticed a man dressed in black running toward him and pointing a gun at him, saying, GǣGive me that.Gǥ The man then grabbed the deposit bag from under the employeeG
