The annual Kiwanis Club Gazebo Lighting - Sing Off was held in Gough Park, Silver City on Friday evening.
Despite the chilly and breezy weather, there was a sizeable and enthusiastic audience. Attendees were treated to a competitive Sing Off of holiday songs by four Kiwanis sponsored youth groups. Participating were the Silver City Key Club (Silver City High), Cobre High Key Club, La Plata Middle School Builders Club and G.W. Stout Elementary K-Kids group. Holiday lighting for the gazebo was provided by Ace Hardware and the Sing Off was sponsored by Western Bank.
First prize in the Sing Off went to the G.W. Stout K-Kids group. Cobre High Key Club placed second. Monetary prizes from Silver City Kiwanis Club were awarded to the first and second place groups. At the conclusion of the Sing Off all present were offered seasonal cookies and hot chocolate.
