Silver City was its usual busy self on Saturday, Dec. 10, 2016. This photographer got to three of the activities.
The Silver City Woman's Club has its annual holiday sweet sale. When it opened people rushed in to get their choice of baskets put together by the members. The original 57 baskets had dwindled to about 20 by 10:30. But cookies could still be bought by the pound, half pound or quarter pound. Jellies, cheese balls and candies rounded out the offierings.
The Old Elks Club ballroom featured the Mogollon Holiday Art Market, which featured paintings, jewelry, photos, fabrics and weavings, and hand-crafted wood items, including ones featured reclaimed wood and artifacts from the old Fort Bayard Hospital.
Finn's Galllery offered lessons for children and adults in decorating Christmas cookies, with beautiful sugar cookies ready for eating.
