31st Edition kicks off April 19 in Silver City, NM

Silver City, NM (December 19, 2016) - Registration for the 31st edition of the Tour of the Gila opens for the six amateur categories today, Monday, December 19, 2016 at www.bikereg.com . The 5-day stage race begins April 19 and ends on Sunday, April 23, 2017. Categories include the Men Cat 1, 2; Men Cat 3; and Master Men A (Cat 1,2,3). The 4-day races that begin on April 20, include Master Men B (Cat 3, 4, 5), Men Cat 4, 5, and Women Cat 3, 4 categories.

The Tour of the Gila has attracted competitive cyclists both amateur and professional from around the world. Our race has been committed year after year to give opportunities for aspiring cyclists to participate on much of the same course and terrain as the UCI professional men and women.

Os Assem traveled overseas from the UK in 2016 to participate in his first Tour of the Gila on a recommendation from a friend.
