The Silver City Town Council met in a regular meeting Tuesday Jan. 10, 2017 to hear reports, address items of business and discuss the potential donation of land for an affordable house project.

At the beginning of the meeting, Mayor Ken Ladner said: "This weekend, we lost one of our leaders. I ask for a moment of silence for former Rep. Murray Ryan. I got to know him when he worked with my son on his Eagle Scout project."

After the moment of silence, councilors presented comments.
