Cobre school board met January 23, 2017 at the administrative office in Bayard, with all five members present. The closed session began at 6:03, according to Toy Sepulveda, president, where they discussed student identifiable information and limited personnel issues. The open, public session was called to order at 7:33.

 

The agenda listed the superintendent evaluation and contract work as unfinished business, but Robert Mendoza, superintendent, asked that it be tabled until next meeting for proper tabulation. According to Sepulveda, the contract was to be extended for another year at the same salary.

 

Bianca Padilla, program coordinator and JPO officer, and her two truancy officers, Sarita Reyes and Tony Sosa, were present to update the truancy information for Cobre.
