Bruce Granillo Jr., 18, of Silver City and Armando Marquez, 20, also of Silver City, were arrested by Silver City police officers Feb. 3, 2017, at approximately 1:20 a.m., after being caught red-handed inside the Your Loan Company at 1800 E. Highway 180.

According to police documents, the burglary was reported by a person who advised he saw at least one individual inside the building. When the first officer arrived at about 1:05 a.m., he also saw in the light from his headlights one person, later identified as Marquez, inside the business. With weapon drawn, the officer commanded him to lie on the ground, which Marquez did after first exiting the building. At this time, Marquez said there was another male inside the building and that male had a gun.
