Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017, brought lots of folks to downtown Silver City, many carrying red boxes to hold the 20 pieces of chocolate that they would collect with each ticket.
Mimbres Region Arts Council has held Chocolate Fantasia on the Saturday before Valentine's Day for many years, with a different theme each year. This year's theme was Wild West Days
Volunteers each year make at least 350 to 500 pieces of chocolate goodies to offer to ticket holders. The flavors vary; the styles are different; and the tastes are universally delicious.
