On, Thursday February 23, 2017, around 12:30 p.m., New Mexico State Police officers were dispatched to mile mark number 11 on Interstate 10 in reference to a fatal motor vehicle crash.

The preliminary investigation revealed that a commercial motor vehicle (semi) driven by, Danny Sisneros (60) from Keenesburg, C.O., was traveling west on Interstate 10 through a low visibility dust storm when he rear ended a four door passenger vehicle pushing it into the the rear of another commercial motor vehicle (semi).

Both occupants of the four door passenger vehicle, Gail Boulanger (64) from Redondo Beach, C.A., and Helen Mitchner (83) from Spring Hill, FL sustained fatal injuries and were pronounced deceased at the scene.
