On Wednesday, March 1, Silver City police officers were called to Gila Regional Medical Center in reference to an aggravated battery that had occurred in Silver City, but had been originally responded to by Grant County Sheriff's deputies.

According to a SCPD incident report, officers made contact outside an ER exam room with the father of a 29-year-old female. The father advised that his daughter was the victim of a kidnapping and was also beaten up. Upon entering the exam room, the report stated, the victim told officers that about 10:35 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 26, she was in a house when three men entered and held them at gunpoint. The victim stated she could identify two of the males, and that one of the two had a .22 caliber revolver. The third man, who the victim couldn't identify, held a Glock 9mm.

The victim stated, according to the report, she was forced into her white Chrysler 300, which had a temporary license plate out of Texas, pistol-whipped, and made to sit in the back seat, after which she blacked out. The victim said when she woke up they were driving toward Pinos Altos.

When they arrived at a residence, the report said, the victim stated a named female got in the car and started kicking and punching the victim in the face. The victim was told her ransom was $2,000. It is unclear from the incident report, but apparently, $900 was withdrawn from a bank in Silver City and given to one of the alleged kidnappers, who then drove the victim to her fatherG
