Kelly Wildfire, May 7, 2017

Location: Glenwood NM, approximately 10 Miles NE of Alma on the east side of Hwy 180 and the San Francisco River @ T9S R20W Sec 12 .

Start Date: May 6, 2017 at 6 p.m. Size: 2 acres

Cause: Lightning caused

Vegetation: Pinion, juniper, grass and brush in rocky, steep terrain

Resources: 5 firefighters

Summary: The Kelly Fire is burning on National Forest System lands. The plan for today is to assess the area for values at risk, and evaluate the area for the best strategy in event that the fire continues to grow.

Smoke may be visible off of NM Hwy 180 beginning just north of Catron County Road 9 to just past County Road 11.
