Bayard/Grant County

On June 12, 2017, around 5:17 p.m. New Mexico State Police Investigators were contacted concerning a death investigation in Bayard, NM. Investigators learned Mr. Daniel Romero (29) of Bayard, had arrived at the Bayard Police Department with life threatening injuries. He was subsequently transported to the Gila Regional Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries.

The manner of death is still under investigation.

New Mexico State Police investigators and crime scene technicians are conducting interviews and processing two separate crime scenes.
