Teacher Fire - Final Update

The Teacher Fire is estimated at 3,555 acres. Crews have completed all burning operations, and will be holding line and monitoring the active fire pockets.

Gravel Fire
The Gravel Fire is estimated at 2,320 acres. Ground ignitions took place along FR 153S yesterday; and will continue to prep along the road. The fire line will then be monitored throughout the afternoon. The northern edge of this fire is in the Turkey Creek drainage, the eastern edge has reached FR 28 along the Gilita drainage; the southern edge is in the Indian Creek drainage and the western border is FR 153S.

Snow Lake is still open as are the Dipping Vat, Willow Creek and Ben Lilly Campgrounds. Smoke will be visible from main roads in that area. Smoke-sensitive individuals and people with respiratory or heart disease are encouraged to take precautionary measures.
