New Mexico Wildfire Update for 6.22.17 at 10:20 a.m.

The Golden Fire off of Highway 14 and State Road 344 is 80% contained. The acreage has been reduced to 5 acres due to better mapping of the fire. Residents returned to their homes Wednesday evening. All roads are open.

Today firefighters will continue to look for hot spots and mop up. The fire was human caused. The Santa Fe County Fire Department and the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) are investigating.
