Las Cruces, NM; The U.S. Marshals are looking for 2 violent fugitives that are believed to be in the Las Cruces/Anthony area. Both fugitives have a history of having violent tendencies and are considered to be armed and dangerous.

Wanted Fugitive Jorge Ramos (25), is a white male, 5’9”, 140 lbs., has brown hair and brown eyes and has multiple tattoos. Ramos is wanted by the NM Department of Corrections for absconding and fleeing law enforcement officers by cutting off his ankle monitor and fleeing from officers. Ramos has a lengthy criminal history to include narcotics, kidnapping, aggravated assaults, violation of protection orders, obstructing/resisting officers, evading arrest. Ramos is believed to be in the Anthony area and should be easy to spot with a head tattoo of character Jack Skelington. Ramos has an active protective order and may be staying with close friends.

Wanted fugitive Joseph Meraz (24), is a white male, 5’5”, 180lbs., Brown eyes and brown hair. Meraz is wanted by the NM Department of Corrections for absconding state probation officials stemming from an Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Meraz has been listed by NMDOC as having extremely violent tendencies and should be considered Armed and Dangerous. Meraz is believed to me in the Las Cruces area.
