Mimbres, NM - Around 12:30 a.m. today, New Mexico State Police officers responded to a single-vehicle fatal crash on New Mexico State Road 152 at milepost 13 in Grant County.

The initial investigation indicated a Ford pickup was traveling toward Mimbres when the vehicle failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway. The vehicle exited the roadway and overturned. The driver, Donald Heath (28) of Mimbres, NM, was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. Mr. Heath sustained fatal injuries in the crash and was pronounced deceased on scene.

Investigators believe alcohol may have been a contributing factor in this crash. No further information is available.
