The Village of Santa Clara Regular Meeting took place Thursday, October 26, 2017 in the Village Hall. Trustees Olga Amador and Richard Esparza were present along with Mayor Richard Bauch and Mayor Pro Tem Albert Esparza. Trustee Victor Arambula was absent but there was a quorum.

Bauch did not have anything for the Mayor’s report, but said a lot of projects are in process with no updates since the last meeting.

In new business, council tabled the Master License agreement with WNM Communications Corporation, pending further information as a question was posed on the last day of the thirty-day question period.

For old business, the review of the Lease Agreement of office space at the Armory was tabled once again until the revised form has been accepted by the state.

Trustees approved a Resolution allowing for a budget adjustment request. This transfers funds from the general fund to the water fund and balances the line items. This is the first year the state requires budgets balance per quarter, and a reimbursement from a completed project has been delayed.

Council tabled the Ordinance granting a telecommunications franchise to WNM Communication corporation for the same reason as the new business item to which it corresponds.

During public comments Tammy Arguello asked what the question was about the agreement bringing WNM Communications to Santa Clara. Bauch said the question addressed whether the agreement was fair enough to the city, and he wanted to research it fully before moving forward.

The next Regular Meeting of the Village of Santa Clara will take place Thursday, November 9, 2017 at 3:00 pm at the Village of Santa Clara Village Hall located at 105 N. Bayard Street.
