The regular meeting of the Cobre Consolidated School District Board of Education began on November 6, 2017, following an executive session which lasted approximately an hour and twenty minutes.

There was no unfinished business to review or public input to hear.

During the administrative section of the agenda, Central Elementary mathematics students Christopher Draper and Michaela Dominguez presented a lesson to the board. Mathematics students practice daily to retain knowledge of their skills.

Superintendent Robert Mendoza also asked that the Use of Facilities request by the Youth Fall Softball League be accepted. The board approved the request unanimously.

Mendoza reported the calendars have been updated for the elementary schools, including the upcoming holidays. Thanksgiving break happens from November 20- 23, during which time the district will be closed.

After the holiday break, items on the agenda include the Superintendent evaluation and contract extension, an update on the use of facilities policy, and the bond recommendation status report.

The next Regular Meeting of the Cobre Consolidated School District will happen Monday, December 11, at 6 PM at Cobre High School.
