Burglaries
Location: Silver City, New Mexico
Officers of the Silver City Police Department responded to two residential burglaries in the last 24 hours.
The first burglary was reported at 11:58 am, on December 20, 2017, in the 500 block of 33rd Street. According to the preliminary information, the burglary happened within a one-hour period prior to the reporting. The suspect(s) entered the residence and stole the victim's Christmas presents.
The second burglary was reported at about 5:46 pm, in the 1400 block of Louisiana Street. According to the preliminary information, the burglary happened between Sunday evening and Monday evening. A drum set and other items were taken from the residence.
An investigation is continuing into both burglaries.
The Silver City Police Department is asking citizens keep a watch out in your neighborhoods for any suspicious activity and report it immediately to the dispatch center at (575) 388-8840.
