This article will list the statewide contests for positions in the federal and state governments, but only those that relate to the four counties of southwest New Mexico, Grant, Catron, Hidalgo and Luna.

For U.S. Senator three candidates have filed—incumbent Democrat Martin T. Heinrich, Libertarian Aubrey Dunn and Republican Mick Rich.

For U.S. Representative District 2, three Democrats, Xochitl Torres Small, L. Madeline Hildebrandt and Angel D. Pena; five Republicans, Yvette Herrell, Monty Newman, Gavin Clarkson, Clayburn Griffin and John "Jack" S. Volpato Jr. have filed to fill the seat.

For Governor, four Democrats, Michelle Lujan Grisham, Jeff Apodaca, Joseph Cervantes and Peter DeBenedittis; and one Republican, Steve Pearce, have filed.

For Lieutenant Governor, five Democrats, Howie C. Morales, Rick S. Miera, Billy G. Garrett, Jeff Carr and Javier M. Gonzales; and one Republican, Michelle Garcia Holmes, have filed.

For Secretary of State, incumbent Maggie Toulouse Oliver, will be challenged by Libertarian Sandra D. Jeff and Republican Johanna Cox.

For State Auditor, two Democrats, Bill McCamley and Brian S. Colón, will vie to be on the General Election ballot with incumbent Wayne A. Johnson.

State Treasurer will see no contests in the primary, but incumbent Democrat Tim Eichenberg will face Republican Arthur L. Castillo in the general election.

For Attorney General, three candidates will face off in the General Election, incumbent Democrat Hector Balderas, Libertarian A. Blair Dunn and Republican Michael Eugene Hendricks.

Commissioner of Public Lands has two Democrats, Stephanie Garcia Richard and Garrett O. Veneklasen; one Libertarian, Michael G. Lucero, and one Republican, Patrick H. Lyons, seeking the seat.

State Representative District 32 will have incumbent Democrat Candie G. Sweetser challenged by Republican Laura C. Boyd in the General Election.

District 38 will see Democrat Karen C. Whitlock challenging incumbent Republican Rebecca L. Dow in the General Election.

District 39 will see incumbent Democrat Rodolpho "Rudy" S. Martinez will face Republican Lee S. Cotter in the General Election.

State Representative District 49 will see incumbent Republican Gail "Missy" Armstrong uncontested.

For Public Regulation Commissioner District 5 has two Democrats, Stephen H. Fischmann and incumbent Sandy R. Jones, and three Republicans, Ben L. Hall, Joseph Aaron Bizzell and Chris P. Mathys, to see who faces off in the General Election.

For Public Education Commissioner District 6, Republican Michael M. Chavez is uncontested.

For District Court Sixth Judicial District, Division 1, Democrat Tom F. Stewart will face Republican William J. Perkins in the General Election.
