Easter egg hunt in Hurley Park 032418

The Federated Republican Women of Grant County again this year put on an Easter egg hunt at the Hurley Community Park. Last year, about 80 kids showed up. This year, fewer than 20. The women were disappointed, but the kids who did visit the park with their baskets and bags got lots of candy and good prizes.

"We expected more this year," a spokeswoman said, "but people must not have heard or read about it. We had flyers up all over the place. We like holding things like this in Hurley, because sometimes the kids here don't get the same activities as kids in Silver City."
