Grant County 4-H Competes at District, State and Copper Classic Jackpot 2018

Grant County 4-H has been busy this summer between judging contests and preparing their show animals for the upcoming fair season. 4-H members traveled to Lordsburg, NM, June 20-24 to compete at the District Judging Contest. Those teams and individuals that competed and placed at the District Contest are as follows: 

Archery 

• Novice Team 1-1st place

4-H members at the senior level competed at the State Conference at NMSU in Las Cruces, NM July 9-12. The Livestock Skill-A-Thon team placed 2nd qualifying them for the National Contest in Denver, CO in January 2019. The placings for the teams and individuals who placed in the top 10 are as follows:

Grant County Extension held the Copper Classic Jackpot at the Grant County Fairground in Cliff, NM June 30 in preparation for the upcoming fair season. Participants competed with their show animals for cash prizes, buckles and show supplies. The following are the placings for Grant County members from the Copper Classic Jackpot:
