Silver City police officers were dispatched to the Stagestop Trailer Park at 1605 W. Market Street on Monday, Oct. 15, 2018, at approximately 8:51 p.m., in reference to an unattended death call. According to the police blotter, a caller advised dispatchers that a female, about 60-years-old, had fallen, hit her head, was not breathing, and blood was everywhere. The caller also advised it was too late for CPR and that the female might have been there for a while.

When officers arrived at the address, a police report said, they met two females who told officers a female was on the ground in a back bedroom. Officers then made their way to the bedroom where they discovered a female lying on the floor, not breathing, and unresponsive. According to the report, blood was observed next to the deceased, on the bottom of her feet, and in the hallway on the right side and top of a washing machine.

Office of the Medical Investigator personnel arrived at the scene at about 9:29 p.m.

According to Police Chief Freddy Portillo, the incident is still under investigation and no additional details are available at this time.
