Pam Archibald, who has worked at Western Bank for 17 years, will retire at the end of this calendar year. Bob Martin, past president and chief executive officer of the bank, got emotional when he was saying how much the bank appreciates her and "we're going to miss you."

Bob's son, Mike Martin, CEO and chairman of the board, stepped in and said: "You've set the standard for our bank." He thanked everyone for coming: "You have all kinds of family here."

Frank Chaires, bank president, said: "I'm going to miss her. I've been working with her every day."

Randi Ybarra, senior vice president and chief operations officer, said Archibald has been a great mentor to her.

"I want to thank the Martin family," Archibald said. "It's been a great 17 years. yOu are my family and always will be. I'm only as good as all my customers."

Carmen Terrazas, a bank customer, said: "Thank you from the entire Terrazas family."
