Grant County Commission Announces Slate of Candidates for Senate Vacancy

The Grant County Board of Commissioners will meet in a Special Meeting on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. The meeting will occur at the Grant County Administration Building, located at 1400 Highway 180 E., Silver City, NM. The purpose of the meeting is to select an individual to recommend to the Governor as a replacement for the New Mexico Senate Seat, District 28, serving Grant, Catron and Socorro Counties, currently held by Senator Howie Morales. Senator Morales, now Lt. Governor-elect, will resign his seat at the end of the year. The interested candidates will participate in a question and answer session led by the Board regarding their desire to fill the Senate seat.
