The Village of Santa Clara Trustees met Thurs. June 13 at 6 p.m. in City Hall. All Trustees were present when Mayor Richard Bauch called the meeting to order.

The Mayor’s Report included congratulations to maintenance on keeping up with pothole repairs. Street chip seal projects begin later this summer. The Village has been receiving millings from DOT and using them on some of the dirt side streets. The senior park on Spring Street is looking good after YCC and Village maintenance finished pulling weeds, cleaning up the walking path, and putting in exercise equipment.

The Village clerk asked the trustees for a consensus to use the YCC to clean up a village owned lot on South Bayard Street, just before the cemetery. The Trustees gave consensus to do the clean-up. The Board of Trustees then approved a motion to purchase a fleet car for use when Village personnel need to travel. The funds will come from the general fund.

A motion was made and approved to renew the Grant Writer contract with Dave Chandler.

A motion to hire a temporary person to place all the existing cemetery plot information into an EXCEl program was approved. Mr. Albert Castro will receive $11.00/hr. for up to three months to research lost reserved spots, verify reserved spots, and reinstate lost spots.

Five DOT project resolutions to participate in the Local Government Transport Funds program, with match waivers, were approved.
Mario Garduno, Village Security Officer, finished his probationary period. The Mayor recommended offering him full time, regular employment along with a $1.00 raise. Approved by the Trustees.

Meeting adjourned with next meeting June 27, 2019 6 p.m.
