Strategy: Full suppression- utilizing confine/contain tactics

Location: Wilderness District, Gila Wilderness, Approx. 1 mile NE of Cub Mountain, west fork of the Gila River

Fuels: Burning in grass, brush, and multiple snags- within Whitewater-Baldy fire scar

Summary: Firefighter are responding to a vegetation fire within the boundary of the Whitewater-Baldy fire scar. An identified safety concern is the number of dead standing trees in the area. Crews are working to protect values at risk and keep the fire as small as possible with firefighter safety as the top priority.

Weather: Red flag warning for high winds and low relative humidity are forecasted thru Monday 6/29 evening.
