On Sept, 24, 2020, Gilbert Gallegos, 44, of Lordsburg, was arraigned in federal court on charges of production and possession of child pornography and will be detained while awaiting trial.

According to a criminal complaint, on April 15, Gallegos allegedly was in possession of videos on his cellphone showing a minor nude from the waist down, as well as other videos depicting child pornography.

If convicted, Gallegos faces from 15-30 years in prison for production of child pornography and up to 20 years for possession.

Homeland Security Investigations and the Lordsburg Police Department investigated this case.
