Grant County Sheriff's Office deputies on Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 21 and 22, 2020, investigated an aggravated battery call initiated on Saturday, Nov. 21, at 1:36 p.m. at Gila Regional Medical Center. The incident occurred at an address on Rosedale Road.

After viewing footage of the altercation, according to a six-page GCSO report, deputies determined the aggravated battery was actually a one-on-one fight between two juvenile males in an RV over the grabbing of a juvenile girl's butt. A 17-year-old was taken by his mother to GRMC's ER with what deputies described as a swollen and purplish left eye, left side of jaw swollen, dried blood around mouth, and a cut on the right cheekbone.

Deputies advised the District Attorney's office and the assistant district attorney contacted agreed there was not enough for aggravated battery charges, but charges will be filed against one juvenile male for grabbing the juvenile female's butt.
