Hummingbird Celebration held

A Hummingbird Celebration was held Saturday at Little Toad Inn, at the junction of highways 35 and 15, north of Silver City.

The first year for this format, identification of hummingbirds was offered by expert Joan Day-Martin. Other talks included Marilyn Markel on the relationship of birds and the Mimbres people, and Dennis & Denise Miller on Wildlife Rehabilitation

Live music  by Maria Casler and Peter Dahl-Bredine was heard on the patio in the evening.

Nature tours, speakers and music continued today, Sunday.
