The 9th Annual Red Paint Powwow wowed audiences as usual, with the ceremonies, the colorful regalia, the sounds of drums and singing, and the accomplished dancing.

Ted Rodriguez of Mescalero, New Mexico, blessed the floor. He introduced Ashleigh Neva Lyn Chino, 11, who gave the opening prayer.

Nathan Largo, holding the eagle staff, led the Grand Entry, followed by the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 358, who posted the colors, and all the dancers, in a flurry of color.

The powwow is best shown in photographs.
