The Silver City-Grant County Chamber of Commerce held a luncheon at the Western New Mexico University Sunset Room to award recognition of service plaques to outgoing board members, the outgoing board president and the former executive director.
Board President Trent Petty gave plaques to long-serving board members Linda McGee and Linda Nichols, as well as to outgoing board president, Jim Nennich, and to former executive director, Lola Polley.
Chamber director, Sherry Logan, invited those present to attend the first Alive at Five! of 2013 at Gallery 400, sponsored by Great Lakes Airlines. She also announced the she would accept members for committee assignments in the Buy Local campaign and for the customer service appreciation award. A suggestion box would be available at the event. Logan also announced a contest for a new logo.
