A public information meeting on proposed improvements to Pinos Altos Road from US 180 East to 32nd Street will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 7, at the Grant County Administration Center Commission Meeting Room. The presentation will begin at 6:15 by Marron & Associates.

Corridor Study:  The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) is initiating a roadway
and improvement project for Pinos Altos Road (NM 15) from US 180 to the 32 Street By-Pass in
Silver City, New Mexico.  The existing roadway is deteriorating, lacks curb and gutter, and has
inadequate pedestrian facilities, drainage facilities, and street lighting.

Intersection improvements may be needed at Pine Street, 32 Street By-Pass, and other intersections in the corridor.  The NMDOT is initiating a corridor study to obtain information on the existing roadway condition, identify needs for improvement, and develop and evaluate alternatives for roadway improvement.

Environmental studies will also be conducted.

Public Information Meeting Purpose:  To present known roadway needs, present initial
concepts, and receive comments from the public.  NMDOT project team representatives will be
present to discuss the project.  The public is encouraged to ask questions and provide comments.
Comments will also be received on bicycle, pedestrian, and equestrian issues as well as natural
resources and cultural resources.

ADA: To request Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)-related accommodations for the meeting,
