Sustainable Tourism Conference
Infrastructure for a solid path forward

Guest Speaker: Monique Jacobson,
Cabinet Secretary, NM Tourism Department

The NM Tourism Department is seeking to identify the needed infrastructure and infrastructure improvements that will ensure visitors have a positive experience and will return to Northern New Mexico. Come hear Monique Jacobson share the work her team is doing and discover opportunities for implementing infrastructure priorities in Northern NM. Work with Monique Jacobson's staff during the day and build relationships with many local business owners, government officials and many others committed to sustainable tourism.

This will be an all-day working conference. The goals are:

  • To discover what has already been accomplished and what is being done in regards to Sustainable Tourism here in Northern NM
  • To establish a common definition of "infrastructure for sustainability"
  • To identify the 4-7 infrastructure projects that our town/city/region will prioritize and potentially implement over the next 12-18 months
  • To identify immediate next steps

The conference will produce a Sustainable Infrastructure report highlighting the priorities of each participating town/city/region.
