Legal Notice - Work Session/Regular Meeting

The Grant County Board of Commissioners will convene in a Work Session on Tuesday,
August 12, 2014, at 9:00 a.m. The meeting will take place in the Commissioner Meeting Room at the Grant County Administration Center located at 1400 Highway 180 East, Silver City, New Mexico.

The tentative agenda is as follows:

IV. Purpose
The general purpose of the county Work Session is to inform the Grant County Board of Commissioner of the agenda items that will be addressed at the next Regular Meeting, and for the Department Heads and other Elected Officials to communicate with the Commissioners in regard to matters in their respective departments. In accordance with Grant County Resolution No. 14-01, we welcome the public to attend the county Work Session, but there will be no public input permitted at this meeting.

• Discussion regarding the adoption of Ordinance 14-06 entitled: AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE AND SALE OF GRANT COUNTY, NEW 3 MEXICO GROSS RECEIPTS TAX REVENUE BONDS, IN ONE OR MORE 4 TAX EXEMPT OR TAXABLE SERIES, IN THE AGGREGATE PRINCIPAL 5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $5,000,000 (THE "BONDS") FOR THE 6 PURPOSES OF CONSTRUCTING, PURCHASING, FURNISHING, 7 EQUIPPING, REHABILITATING, MAKING ADDITIONS TO OR MAKING 8 IMPROVEMENTS TO ONE OR MORE PUBLIC BUILDINGS OR 9 PURCHASING OR IMPROVING GROUND RELATING THERETO, 10 INCLUDING BUT NOT NECESSARILY LIMITED TO ACQUIRING AND 11 IMPROVING PARKING LOTS, OR ANY COMBINATION OF THE 12 FOREGOING; ALL WITHIN THE COUNTY; PROVIDING FOR THE FORM, 13 EXECUTION AND OTHER DETAILS CONCERNING THE BONDS, THE 14 FUNDS APPERTAINING THERETO AND FOR A SUPPLEMENTAL 15 RESOLUTION OF THE COUNTY ESTABLISHING CERTAIN DETAILS OF 16 THE BONDS; PROVIDING FOR THE PAYMENT OF THE COSTS OF 17 ISSUANCE OF THE BONDS; APPROVING DISCLOSURE AND OTHER 18 DOCUMENTS RELATING TO THE BONDS; AND RATIFYING ACTION 19 PREVIOUSLY TAKEN IN CONNECTION THEREWITH.

e. Approve/Disapprove Payment to Human Services Department in the amount of $204,269.00 for the Period of January to June 2014 under Sole Community Provider Program.
f. Approve/Disapprove Revision to Grant County's Appeal of the Record of Decision for the Travel Management Plan on the Gila National Forest.
g. Approve/Disapprove Dedication of Right of Way Easement for Purposes of Assessment District in Wind Canyon Estates.
h. Cerisse Grijalva from the Southwest Council of Governments to give a presentation on the Statewide Long Range Plan.
i. John Strand to give an update on the SunZia Southwest Transmission Project.
XVII. Resolutions
j. Approve/Disapprove Resolution #R-14-43; Authorizing the Execution and Delivery of a Loan Agreement and Intercept Agreement with New Mexico Finance Authority for $47,960 for Santa Rita Subdivision Assessment District.
k. Approve/Disapprove Resolution #R-14-44; Resolution Authorizing One-Half (.5%) Cost -Of - Living Adjustment for County Employees with the exception of Sheriff's Office Employees, Department Heads and Chief Deputies.
XVIII. Recess as the Grant County Board of Commissioners and Convene as the Grant County indigent and Health Plan Claims Board
l. Approve/Disapprove July 11, 2014, Indigent Burial Certificate for Terrazas Funeral Chapels.
XIX. Adjourn as the Grant County Indigent and Health Plan Claims Board and Reconvene as the Grant County Board of Commissioners
